International Council for Small Business (ICSB)
Becoming a member of SEAANZ automatically provides you with membership to the International Council for Small Business (ICSB), the world’s largest and oldest small business/entrepreneurship body. Founded in 1955 the ICSB is the leading international organisation for small enterprise research, education, policy and practice. It has members from over 70 countries and a global network of 14 country-based and regional affiliates.
Each year the ICSB holds a world conference and fosters knowledge and information exchange through research and education forums. It also holds a range of events throughout the year and your membership of SEAANZ will enable you to keep in touch with these events through our website and ongoing member communication.
Affiliate membership of the ICSB offers SEAANZ members with accees to an annual subscription to the Journal of Small Business Management, which is the official journal of the ICSB.
Asia Council for Small Business (ACSB)
In addition to affiliate membership of the ICSB a membership with SEAANZ also provides access to the Asia Council for Small Business (ACSB). Established in 2013, the ACSB is a regional affiliate council of the ICSB. It serves as a regional body for the Asia-Pacific region and has member organisations from Australia, China, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and New Zealand.
Each year the ACSB holds a regional conference that draws together representatives from across the Asian affiliated member countries. This includes academic researchers, industry and government organisations and students. The focus of the ACSB is to foster small business development and entrepreneurship in the Asia-Pacific region.
