Founded in 1955, the International Council for Small Business (ICSB) was the first international membership organization to promote the growth and development of small businesses worldwide. The organization brings together educators, researchers, policy makers and practitioners from around the world to share knowledge and expertise in their respective fields. ICSB currently has 14 country-based or regional affiliates with members from over 70 different countries.

Middle East Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (MCSBE)
Middle East Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (MCSBE), is the outcome of the aspirations of a group of Egyptians dedicated to the vision of advancing entrepreneurship and small business in Egypt and the Middle East. MCSBE is an affiliate of the International Council for Small Business (ICSB) covering Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Morocco, and linking to the ICSB global network of affiliates and members from 70 countries around the world. Members of the MCSBE include representatives from government bodies, universities, business associations, banks, venture capital companies, donors, consulting companies, large corporations and entrepreneurial companies, business development service (BDS) providers, and development NGOs.

The International Council for Small Business Puerto Rico and Caribbean (ICSB PR/Caribbean) is committed to a free exchange of ideas through education, research, publications, conferences and the demonstrated commitment and competence of its members so that there will be a better understanding of the smaller business enterprise and its management. The Puerto Rico and Caribbean Affiliate was established in 1996, and since then has organized Caribbean Entrepreneurship Summits since 2000 and had the honor of hosting the 2002 Annual World Conference and the upcoming 2013 ICSB World Conference (www.icsb2013.org).
