SMEs for me are the fabric of our society. As humans we are programmed to work in groups, to help and support one another. Small businesses do this at the local level and play a very important part in building communities and regional economies. We are at an important time today with the Covid-19 pandemic putting incredible strain on small businesses in Australia and New Zealand. Through my research I hope to help disseminate to all audiences the incredible contribution and sacrifices that this diverse group make. My passion is to talk to small businesses owner-managers and gain insights into how they run their business, what they value as success and what drives them to do what they do.
