Small Enterprises
SEAANZ seeks to bring together within its membership three broad communities in Australia, New Zealand and the wider region comprising of:
Small Enterprises – representatives of the practice communities of owner-managers of small enterprises and their advisors;
Institutions – which are government and business institutions representing policy and practice communities in Australia, New Zealand and the wider region;
Academia – which are the research, education communities comprising the academics and students from universities and other higher education institutions (e.g. vocational training colleges).
These three communities are united by SEAANZ membership and organisation focuses on five key areas:
- The development of theoretical and applied research into the field of small enterprise.
- The development of education programs relating to the field of small enterprise.
- The communication and dissemination of research, information and knowledge across the SEAANZ communities to enhance understanding and foster collaboration.
- The promotion of well-informed, evidence-based policy and practice in small enterprise.
- The facilitation of connections between the three broad communities by SEAANZ through a range of mechanisms including conferences, workshops and other media.
Small Enterprises Members
Small Enterprises members are representatives of the practice communities of owner-managers of small enterprises and their advisors. They are both the beginning and the endpoint for all that we do in SEAANZ.
Small Enterprises members are the group whose needs provide the basis for:
- The development of theoretical and applied research into the field of small enterprise and;
- The development of education programs relating to the field of small enterprise.
In this section of the website you will find materials and resources with a practical and practitioner focus.
